Kim Donellan, M.B.A., ET/P, CAS
Founder | Educational Therapist
Kim Donellan founded Team KDES in 2007. Her passion for this work began at a young age, growing up alongside her two sisters, who each have very different disabilities. Their experiences shaped her belief that every child learns differently and inspired her commitment to understanding each student’s unique learning profile and developing individualized, research-based intervention plans that create meaningful, lasting growth. As a Certified Educational Therapist and Certified Special Education Advocate, Kim is dedicated to helping students build the skills, confidence, and independence needed to reach their full potential while partnering with families throughout the process.
Throughout her career, Kim has worked at Lindamood-Bell, served as Program Director at The Helix School, and provided educational advocacy through Morrissey-Compton Educational Center in collaboration with the Department of Family and Children Services. She has also served on the Board of Directors of the Catalight Foundation and the Board of Directors of Easterseals Northern California, where she served as Board Chair. These experiences continue to shape Team KDES’s collaborative, whole-child approach to supporting students and families.
