Kim began her career in education at Lindamood-Bell Learning Processes, where she worked for two years. This is where she discovered her passion for helping students. In 2007, she founded Kim Donellan Educational Services, and has been working with students throughout the Bay Area ever since. Additionally, Kim helped start a school in Marin for children with ASD. She was the Academic Program Director and created the innovative program that was established in 2014. When not working at her private practice, Kim works at Morrissey-Compton Educational Center providing educational therapy services, conducting academic assessments, and providing consultations. She also works with Project Yea! at the Santa Clara County Department of Family and Children’s Services advocating for the educational rights of children within the foster care systems.
She is a member of the Association of Educational Therapists, International Dyslexia Association, National Autism Association, and Council of Parent Attorneys & Advocates (COPAA).
Kim currently serves on the Board of Directors of Easterseals Northern California (since 2015) & The Catalight Foundation (since 2019). She is the Vice-Chair of Easterseals Northern California.Β She is the Chair of the Marketing & Development Committee, as well as a member of the Governance Committee.
