Academic assessments are a “road map of a child’s mind”. They are designed to be a tool for parents, educators, and other professionals. Kim use the latest assessment tools and methods to get a comprehensive understanding of a student’s learning profile, academic strengths and challenges, and be able to better understand the whole child.
Academic assessments can span all academics, or can be custom designed in order to get a deeper look in a specific area.
These assessments can be used to determine strengths and challenges in phonological processing, memory, non-verbal thinking, processing speed, reading, writing, spelling, comprehension, fluency, math, etc.
Kim also performs informal baseline testing to create annual goals for each student that she works with. This allows for parents to know exactly what is being worked on, as well as track the progress that has been made.
